New Beginning for Health District (Summit County, Ohio) Effective October 1, 2010, the City of Barberton initiated a contract with the Summit County Health District (SCHD) to provide public health services. We have a responsibility to live up to that tradition and I’m sure together with our new staff members, we’ll meet that obligation,” stated Nixon.
